  Nawab Mujahid Alam Khan was born in the year 1984 in an Aristocratic (Nawab) family of erstwhile state of Hyderabad. His father, Nawab Mahboob Alam Khan and his grandfather Nawab Shah Alam Khan belonged to the nobility of the Hyderabad. They are the owners and Chief Executive Officer of the Hyderabad Deccan Cigarette Factory which manufactured the then famous ‘Golconda’ brand of cigarettes and continues to manufacture various brands for the ITC. This family was not only one of the few leading industrialist in the Princely state of Hyderabad but also owned prime properties in the city of Hyderabad.
